Zaquan Payden Glover was born on October 5, 2004, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, to Jessica L. Garrick and Thomas L. Glover. From the very beginning, Payden carried a spirit that could light up any room. He was outspoken, full of energy, full of love, and never afraid to be himself. His presence was powerful, his heart was genuine, and his love for the people around him ran deep.
Payden was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bobby Garrick, Belinda Garrick, and Ronald Bibbs.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving siblings: Jaylen Glover, Tristen Garrick, Ineara Glover, Starre Carr, Aaliyah Glover, Aaron Glover, Aavion Glover, and Shay Elliott. He also leaves behind his grandmother, Rosalyn Shuler.
Payden was deeply loved by his family, including his aunts Echo Garrick, Racheal Frye, Brooke Jamison, Tuisha Glover, Michelle Glover, Victoria (Tori) Farman, Cousins Dontrell, Kayden “KK”, Ava, and Taylor and a host of other cousins his great-aunt Suzanne; his uncle Eddie Strickland, extended family members, and friends whose lives he touched forever. He also leaves behind his godparents, Brittney and Chip “James” Wright, Kenya Knight, Lawrence Nathaniel, all of whom loved and supported him throughout his life.
Payden shared a beautiful love with Kendall Aycock, the mother of his unborn son, Leighton Payden Glover. Though his time here was far too short, his legacy will continue through his son, his family, and the countless memories he created with the people he loved.
Payden loved life. He loved video games, spending time outdoors, fishing on the lake with his brothers, and hunting with his friends. He had a deep love for animals and enjoyed the peace and freedom that came with being outside surrounded by nature. Whether he was laughing, joking, gaming with friends, or helping someone in need, Payden brought life, energy, and authenticity everywhere he went. More than anything, Payden had a caring soul. He was the type of person who showed up for people. He loved hard, protected the people he cared about, and carried a smile that could bring comfort even during difficult times. His laugh, his presence, and his heart left an unforgettable mark on everyone blessed enough to know him.
Although our hearts are shattered, we thank God for the time we were given with him. Payden’s life was not measured by the years he lived, but by the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories that will forever live on in all of us.
His beautiful smile, his outspoken spirit, and his gracious heart will never be forgotten
