Raymond Carl Schmidt

Raymond Schmidt of Gaston, SC passed away unexpectedly at home May 29th. Ray was the beloved husband of 55 years to Margaret "Obie" Schmidt. After raising their family and owning a successful business in the Buffalo, NY area, Ray and Obie moved to South Carolina to enjoy an early retirement. Anybody who knew Ray knew what a wonderful person he was.

Ray is survived by his adoring wife Margaret, two sons; Patrick(Fonda), Thomas (Sara). He also leaves behind seven grandchildren; Amanda, Geoffrey, Joshua, Ashley, Caleb, Finnian, and Grace, as well as 4 great grandchildren.
