Lois Lee Jenks Simmons, 69, entered into her eternal home June 12, 2024 surrounded by her family, after a brave battle with cancer.
Born April 21, 1955 in Columbia, SC to the late William Laban Jenks and
Nell Eleazer Jenks, Lois was a graduate of Brookland Cayce High School. She was employed by SC National Bank (Wells Fargo), Millenders Bbq, and Plantscapes.
She loved the color purple and pulling for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
She was a loving wife of 45 years to James Kelly Patrick Simmons Sr. She is survived by her son Patrick Simmons (Holly) and sister Laura Jenks Seley (Kent).
She was “Nanny” to Kenslea Alexis and Madison Grace Simmons and “Lolo” to Nicholas Jenks(Gina), Kiel(Linda) Seley, and her “MBP” Karyn Seley and Tiana.
She had many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly.
Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Lynda Nell Jenks.
A private ceremony will be held for close family.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial celebration at noon on June 22, 2024 at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle of Gaston to fellowship and share memories.
Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
