MR. LARRY WISE, transitioned peacefully to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at his home surrounded by his immediate loving family. LARRY was born on October 25, 1946, in Lexington County, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Ms. Carrie R. Wise Black and Mr. Jake Reeves. Larry grew up in the Irmo area, and graduated from Richlex High School, class of 1965. After high school he was drafted in the U.S. Army where he received an Honorable Discharge. He was employed by several employers: Construction @Allied Chemical Plant, and custodian at Brookland Cayce Elementary School, Brookland Cayce High School, and Ballentine Elementary School in which he retired. LARRY joined Pleasant Spring AME Church at an early age and served as a Trustee.

LARRY loved his family, and enjoyed gardening, fishing, grilling out, and working in his yard. In 1972, Larry met the love of his life, and in 1973 he entered in Holy Matrimony with his wife Ms. Lillie K. Robinson Wise, a marriage for 49 years. To this union one daughter was born, Larika Wise.

Though life here on earth has ended; memories will linger in the hearts of many whose lives he has touched.

His life and memories will be cherished by his loving and supported wife, Lillie K. Wise; two daughters, Carletta "Carly" Brandenburg of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Larika Wise from the home. Two granddaughters; Amber Brandenburg and Carsyn MacDougall, one grandson Colton Brandenburg. One brother, Steve [Lorraine] Wise of Havelock, NC. Seven sisters'-in-law; Pearl Huggins of West Columbia, SC; Effie [Woodrow] Lewis of Spartanburg, SC; Laura [George] Pollock of Irmo, SC; Elease Garner of Columbia, SC; Carolyn Robinson of Winston Salem, NC; Frances Robinson of Irmo, SC; and Lorraine Wise of Havelock, NC. Three brothers' in-law; Thomas Robinson of West Columbia; Rev. Woodrow Lewis of Spartanburg, SC and George S. Pollock of Irmo, SC along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
