Judy E Jett

Judy Jett, who filled every room with the warmth of her infectious smile, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, in South Carolina. She was 81 years old.

Born in 1943, Judy spent her early years between Georgia and Florida, where she developed her lifelong passion for cats, horses, chickens, dogs, and strays of all kinds. This love of animals would become a defining thread throughout her rich and colorful life.

A graduate of Evan’s High School in Florida, Judy’s adventurous spirit led her to call many places home, from the bustling streets of Texas to Northern Virginia and then the serene beaches of Hawaii. Her time in Hawaii held a special place in her heart, where she found joy in the island’s natural beauty and delighted in watching orchids flourish in the tropical climate.

Judy’s zest for life manifested in numerous passions. She was an avid gardener, finding peace among her plants. Her involvement with the Red Hats Club spoke to her vibrant social nature, and she could often be found dancing, her movements as graceful as they were joyful. Her home was adorned with carefully curated antiques, each piece telling its own story.

Beyond her hobbies, Judy’s greatest legacy was her ability to create connections with everyone she met. Her beautiful spirit, bold approach to life, and friendly demeanor drew people to her naturally. She faced each day with unwavering optimism and approached every new friendship as an opportunity for adventure.

Judy is survived by her two children, her sister, three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Her bright presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of kindness, optimism, and love for all living things will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
