~Life Reflections~

“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.”

Mr. Jerome R. Franklin was born to Loretta Franklin-Greene and the late Lance E. Tucker on August 19, 1977 in Columbia, SC. Assisting in rearing Jerome was his great-grandmother, Tomasina Tucker, She introduced him to the Lord at an early age at Turner Memorial AME Church in West Columbia, SC. Jerome attended Sunday School along with Sunday Worship Services.

Jerome was always a loving and happy child. As life tossed and turned, Jerome lost his way and dealt with the challenges of this world.  Through the love and guidance of his grandmother Ms. Lois Franklin, who loved and nurtured him back to worship, fellowship and membership to the Brookland Baptist Church in West Columbia, SC. His loving Aunt Vette and Uncle Steven Mims cared for him and we Thank God. In February of 2016, Jerome moved to Charlotte, NC, when his health took a turn, Jerome’s walk with the Lord also took a turn 360 turn back to his younger age. This was absolutely priceless!!!

Jerome would often make jokes and laugh about his family, his sibling and his West Columbia family and friends.

With his mother by his side, Jerome entered into the arms of Jesus on January 11, 2022 in Charlotte, NC.

Jerome was preceded in death by his father, Lance E. Tucker and brother, Lance Eric Harley.

Jerome R. Franklin leaves to cherish fond memories; his mother, Loretta Franklin-Greene of Charlotte, NC, step-father, James Greene of Charlotte, NC; sister, Erica Tucker of Gaston, SC; step-sister, Shauna Witfield of Charleston, SC; three brothers, Joey Franklin of West Columbia, SC, John Franklin of Charlotte, NC, and Josh Tucker of West Columbia, SC; grandmother, Lois Franklin of West Columbia, SC; along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
