James Madison Gray, known to his grandchildren as “Popee”. He was born on June 22, 1949, to the late Zeno Levi Gray and Leola Chavis Gray.
James attended school in Richland County, Bethel, Blythewood, SC. He was an OTR driver, a mechanic, a mobile home mover, and set up man. He was the CEO of M&M towing and roadside service. He loved fishing and boating.
He is preceded in death by his sister ; Dorothy Gray, White. His brothers ; Walter Gray, McKinley Gray, Harold Gray, and a nephew, JR Cochran.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and caring wife, Joan Golston Gray. Two Sons ; David Jacobs of Killian, SC, Madison LaStarksy (Roshunda) Gray of West Columbia, SC. Two Daughters; Bambi LaDawn Gray and LaCristal Gray of West Columbia, SC. Two Sisters; Iris, Corley, and Yvonne Gray. Four Grandsons, Five Granddaughters, Four Great-grandsons, Two Great-granddaughters, Five Sisters-in-Law, and Four Brothers-in-Law. Along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Relatives, and Friends.
