James "Buddy" Marion Hendrix

James was born in Greenville, SC on April 24, 1943 to the late Mr. Oliver and Mrs. Ena Hendrix.

He was married to Martha Marie Phillips-Hendrix for 64 years. He was a great father, brother, and friend. James was loved by everyone who knew him. He loved music and playing the guitar, and singing in church. James was a hard worker and worked all his life up to the age of 78.

When he first fell ill, he was living with his son, Jamie. James was so thankful to his daughter-in-law, Brannon Hendrix, for taking care of him at that time. James loved the Lord and was looking forward to the day he would see Jesus.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Martha Marie Phillips-Hendrix. Along with parents; Mr. Oliver and Mrs. Ena Hendrix. One grandchild; Brandon Marion Hendrix. One sister; Sarah Newman. One brother; Oliver Hendrix Jr.

James leaves to cherish his memories, his children; Tammy Hendrix, Cynthia Marie Hendrix, James “Jamie” (Brannon) Marion Hendrix Jr., Four brothers, and five sisters. Seven Grandchildren. Ten Great-grand-children. Along with a host of nieces and Nephews.
