Ann Baxley Smith Obituary

Life Reflection

Ann Baxley Smith, 67 received her wings on Tuesday September 20, 2022. Ann was born on August 5, 1955 in Macon, Georgia to the late Sidney J. Baxley and Ruby D. Baxley. She attended Melbourne High School in Melbourne, Florida. Ann later took advantage of educational opportunities such as obtaining her GED. Her love and belief in all religions, she wanted to further her education at the State of South Carolina Ministry where she obtained an Associate Degree in Ministries.

Ann was full of life and enjoyed being a loving mother to her daughter and son. Ann especially loved life itself. She took time for self-care by gardening and crocheting. She always looked forward to quality times to create lasting memories with her family. In her past time she enjoyed every minute with her Boston Terrier Buster, whom stolen her heart. Ann worked as a Long haul truck driver and was also a waitress at the Waffle House. Ann’s dedication to the Waffle House, co-workers, and customers, resulted in her getting the Employee of the month in 1986.

Preceding Ann in death were her father Sydney J. Baxley; mother Ruby D. Baxley; son David Martin; brother Sidney D. Baxley; Sisters, Sue Putnam and Angela Robertson; and Niece Vera Woods.

Mourning Ann Baxley Smiths’ passing while cherishing her life, love, and legacy are her daughter Jennifer Levin of Palm Bay, Florida; son Calvin Martin of Greenville, SC. Grand children Emily and Carson Levin of Palm Bay, Florida; a loving Sister Mary “Linda” Knight of Lugoff, SC. And a host of many Nieces and Nephews.
